This outdoor venue features fountains and special events held throughout each season. In the summer, you can play in the fountain, catch a summer night concert, or attend an exciting festival. In the winter, enjoy outdoor ice skating, holiday activities, fire pits and our heated outdoor lounge to take away the chill. The plaza is open for visitors to enjoy year-round. Come by and see what is happening, enjoy a stroll along the Indian Creek greenway, or get your dinner to go and eat al fresco at one of our picnic tables.

Indian Creek Plaza History
Indian Creek Plaza is the development of an urban square in downtown Caldwell that expands on the City of Caldwell’s Indian Creek Park greenway restoration.
In 2015 Caldwell’s Urban Renewal Agency worked with Destination Caldwell to approve a resolution that outlined the City’s support of Indian Creek Plaza and the designation of the old King’s Variety Store as the site where the City and the Agency would build the plaza with a memorandum of understanding that Destination Caldwell would manage it. In September of 2016, GGLO was selected as the architect and McAlvain Companies, Inc. was selected as the builder. Construction began in 2017.
Opened in July 2018, Indian Creek Plaza has become an iconic landmark for downtown Caldwell and the Treasure Valley. It has monetized and grown assets in Caldwell while leveraging the economy, celebrating wineries and farm-to-fork growers that call Caldwell home.
The public plaza features the Idaho Central Credit Union Stage for concerts and live entertainment, outdoor seating, splash pads, and fountains in the summer. The entire plaza transitions into Idaho’s only ice-skating ribbon in the winter (and there are only 6 others like it in the nation!).
Destination Caldwell works diligently to plan, promote and execute over 200 events and activities that attract an estimated 300,000+ visitors annually. Signature events such as the Tuesdays on the Creek Concert Series, Farm to Fork Farmers’ Market, Idaho’s Wild West Brew Fest, Indian Creek Festival and the Winter Wonderland Festival put our downtown on display while improving the quality of life for our citizens.
