Shop Local and Celebrate the Holidays at the Indian Creek Plaza!

As Canyon County continues to grow, Caldwell is becoming a gathering place for locals and a destination for those passing through. Even though we’re increasing in size, there is one thing that seems to stay the same: the incredible support and camaraderie between business owners and their customers.

From restaurants to boutiques, the Indian Creek Plaza cultivates relationships amongst the community. Kris Ott, owner of Chop Shop, remembers how this encouragement helped to support his business in its earlier stages.

“We were the first restaurant to open on the plaza and we got great, great support from the community,” Ott said. “The city really supported what we were doing.”

With the holiday season quickly approaching and the plaza preparing to help you celebrate, we should continue this support of our local businesses throughout these next few months.

Not only are you supporting the families and dreams of the community, but you are also able to find heartfelt gifts for those who matter most to you. With over 20 businesses in downtown Caldwell, there are goods, both big and small, to help you check off everyone’s holiday wishlist.

Along with our incredible boutiques and storefronts, the Winter Wonderland opening weekend is a great time for you to plug into your local community. Invite some friends to the plaza, buy some hot coffee, and spend an evening wandering around downtown Caldwell under the lights. Our maintenance team at Destination Caldwell has been working hard, day in and day out, to turn the Indian Creek Plaza into the perfect holiday activity for you, your family, and your friends.

Stop by this Friday, Saturday, or Sunday for the Winter Wonderland opening weekend! Along with unveiling our spectacular light display and opening the ice ribbon for the first time this season, there will be live music, local vendors, and food trucks available. You can get a head start on all that shopping and support local companies!

Your night doesn’t have to end after walking through tunnels, under canopies of lights, and passing the fire-breathing dragon. Ice skating on the plaza is opening Friday, November 18. From 12 pm to 9 pm on weekdays, and until 10:30 pm on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, you can buy tickets, throw on some skates, and glide along the ice ribbon on the plaza! Plus, if you want to skate all season long, season passes are available for purchase on the Indian Creek Plaza website.

Helping you, and the rest of Canyon County, get in the holiday spirit, Destination Caldwell and the businesses on the Indian Creek Plaza are here for all your shopping and memory making needs. Follow us on Instagram and Facebook in order to stay informed on every event and update!
