This March, several wineries are serving up quality glasses of locally grown and produced wine, plus some fun opportunities to turn wine-tasting into an interactive experience. Almost nothing pairs better with a rich glass of wine than some local music on a Saturday night, and Kerry Hill, Ste. Chappelle, Kindred Vineyards, and Hat Ranch all have live music for you during the month of March. The next time you see an open Saturday afternoon or evening on your calendar, hop in your car, drive through the rolling hills of the Treasure Valley, and spend your Saturday afternoon and evening at some of Idaho’s award-winning wineries.

If sitting back, sipping, and relaxing in the sun doesn’t sound appealing to you (we couldn’t imagine why it wouldn’t) there are some more interactive events to help keep you entertained. Every third Tuesday of the month, Williamson Vineyards is hosting a Paint and Sip in their tasting room, giving you the chance to let your creative juices flow! And if Tuesdays aren’t your designated party day, Ste. Chappelle is hosting a paint and sip event on March 18 for you and all your friends.
Huston Vineyards is throwing a Spring Release festival on March 25. Come listen to live music, eat good food, and celebrate new wine for you to savor all spring and summer long. This is a perfect event to bring friends, out of town guests, or anyone looking to escape the Treasure Valley traffic.
Now that it’s Girl Scout Cookie season, find out what kinds of wines pair with your favorite treat. Hat Ranch is hosting a Girl Scout Cookie Wine Pairing event on March 19 from 12-5 pm in their tasting room. Whether it’s a Raspberry Rally cookie joined with Syrah or any of their other winning pairings, you should be sure to check out this once in a lifetime opportunity.
Looking for a daytime festival? Peaceful Belly Farm is hosting the Festival of Persephone from 11 am – 5 pm on March 18! With gardening classes, a vendor fair, and a seed swap, it is the perfect opportunity to enjoy a beautiful spring day and brush up on your gardening skills.
