All in the Family

All in the Family

To say that Caldwell is family friendly is an understatement. There is so much to do here year-round that includes the whole family, but early summer is where Caldwell really shows off for the kiddos. With 3rd winter finally over and the blazing heat not yet here, June is the perfect month to get outside with your kids. We’ve compiled some fun water activities and upcoming summer events on Indian Creek Plaza to keep on your radar as you’re planning your month.

Super Soaker Showdown – Fun, Sun and Water Guns!

Get ready for an epic showdown on the plaza! We’re bringing the thrill of summer to life with our Super Soaker extravaganza. Join us as we team up with our local fire department to unleash a tidal wave of fun. Caldwell Fire Department is bringing their massive fire engine to create the ultimate splash. It’s the kiddos against the firefighters: Let the battle begin!

Bring your own Super Soakers and keep filling them up in our mini pools, strategically placed throughout the plaza to keep the battle going. Take part in the most epic water war imaginable. It’s time to gather your squad, tag your friends, and gear up for an afternoon of non-stop laughter and excitement.

Don’t miss out on this unforgettable adventure. Bring your A-game and let the splash-filled mayhem begin! Get blasted!

Two event days to save to your calendar: 7/2 and 8/7, from 11-1 PM

Creekside Family Fun Day – Family Fun in the Sun!

Come on down to the plaza and check out our first annual fun day, created for the entire family to enjoy. Oil up your chains and pump up those tires to get ready for a Bike Parade! Decorate your bikes and go all out. This one’s gonna be fun!

Vendors will set up family-inspired booths with a bonus expo area highlighting Caldwell’s most entrepreneurial youngsters. They’ll be set up to sell their wares, so come on down and show these future business owners of America some love! Every year it’s surprising to see how talented these kiddos are. We’ve had bakers, carpenters, gardeners and outdoorsman showing off their hard work and building their budding businesses.

Oh yeah, did we mention bounce houses?! Wouldn’t be a family day without some good, clean, jumpin’ fun!

Memorial Park Pool – Just Reopened!

The city’s newly renovated community pool is open for business! They now have a brand-new bath house, zipline, diving boards and a water slide. Need to lay out in the sun in between splash sessions? No problem, there are a dozen lounging chairs poolside or you can bring your own. Make sure to drop in for an afternoon of water play or plan ahead and sign kiddos up for swim lessons on site. Advanced swimmers can take advantage of the lane lines added to the deep end – the best way to exercise when it’s warm outside.

SUP on Lake Lowell – Make a day of it!

Load up the van with kids, snacks and your inflatable SUP boards and head to the lake! Deerflat Park, off Riverside Road, is a local favorite and is perfect for the littles who are still earning their water wings. The shallow water creates an ideal play area and easy water access for the SUPers and kayakers. You can spend hours out on the lake with your family this June. Come late morning and stake your claim on the best grassy spot under beautiful, mature trees creating hours of shade for picnics and naps.
